i’ve always had an appreciation for writing, the way that people were able to evoke a feeling through language. from actively getting involved in creative writing to copy-writing for my professional work, i am hoping to move into more script writing and more!

I’ve always loved how something as simple as words are strong enough to move someone. To be able to touch someone’s heart or make them feel something without even meeting them is pure magic. This was a piece I wrote to motivate and inspire anyone moving bravely and confidently forward into their dreams.

Writing was one of the first forms of expression where I found it easy to pour my soul into. I’ve always wanted to share my colorful life with the world and I feel that really speaking from your own powerful life moments makes writing genuine and raw. Here is a short, simple piece I wrote after speaking with a friend in the middle of a hard break-up.

Creating Connections.
My absolute favorite pieces were ones where I was able to feature those around me. I consider myself lucky enough to have been able to forge connections through my passions such as dance and other art forms, and the thought of using writing to spotlight those individuals made my connections run stronger and deeper. Here is the first installation of a Valentine’s Day post where I was able to highlight all the fun, witty definitions of “love” that my peers submitted.

Through CreativExchange and my past few positions, I’ve been able to experiment in organic social media on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and email marketing. It has been fun using programs as user friendly as Canva to help small businesses gain more site traffic or event attendance. Besides graphic work, I wrote captions and copy.

Along with social media and email marketing, I was able to get involved in creating signage or other internal documents to build more streamlined branding for the future. Often times I found that small businesses find social media easier to manage and grow when having a foundation or guidelines on their own brand’s aesthetic.
