CREATIVEXCHANGE
In 2016, I co-founded a small dance event organization that offers affordable choreography learning opportunities to the public.
PLEASE NOTE: CreativExchange is currently inactive as of March 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Public Workshops
Workshops were held multiple times per month (sometimes weekly!) and always maintained an affordable rate. My partner and I were excited to give back to the dance community that raised us. To watch regular students come religiously and steadily grow was worth every second of work.
We were proudly able to create a space where up and coming instructors could gain teaching experience. Teachers were able to form a lesson plan themselves while benefitting from our existing consumer base, promotion, and culture.
We were incredibly proud that CreativExchange was a place for everyone to benefit positively.

Master Intensives
After a year of public workshops, Mark and I decided to bring forth a different offering into the community. Together, we came up with adding intensives.
CreativExchange Intensives were a more private, intimate setting where students could focus on personal dance goals and build real relationships with teachers. Each class had an application process so teachers were able to get a preview of each student and tailor their lesson plan.
Having each intensive at maximum of eight to ten students gave the opportunity to foster a personal bond within the class and allowing the teacher to give meaningful critiques.
